Guidelines and Advice for Fundraising
The Rules and Regulations and Why!
The fantastic commitment and achievements of local people including patients, staff, relatives and friends, allows the Hospital to purchase the additional state of the art equipment and extras that can make all the difference to both patients and staff.
We do however have to ensure that both the fundraising activity and the accounting for monies raised conform to charitable law. We ask all fundraisers to complete a Fundraising Deed. You will be asked to return the completed Deed to us for authorisation. We will then send you a completed copy for you to keep.
We can provide you with a Guide to Fundraising on request. This goes into greater detail and includes details on raffles and lotteries, printed material, collection boxes, sponsored events, insurance, publicity guidelines and licences.
Helpful Advice
We would be happy to provide advice on the media and have many useful contacts. Advice can also be given on poster and flyer design.
When you are ready to hand over the proceeds of the event you could either:
- Send a cheque direct to the Fundraising Department, or
- Arrange a presentation with us or the staff on the ward or unit you have raised money for.
