30 local residents got into a spin this Saturday when they took part in a giant fundraising challenge at Broadstone Leisure Centre, smashing their target to raise over £3,000 for Poole Hospital’s Wish List.

‘Spin 65’ was organised by spinning enthusiast Wendy Taylor to mark her 65th birthday. The event comprised two spinning classes, each lasting for a stamina-testing 65 minutes. Wendy and friends set out to raise £2,000 for the Wish List but their fantastic efforts generated a phenomenal £3,235 on the day!

Wish ListThe money will be used to fund innovative bubble tubes for the sensory room in the Hospital’s Child Development Centre. These tubes provide stimulation and interaction for children and support imaginative learning and play.

The event was made possible thanks to generous support from Elite Teamwear and Sport Set, who supplied t-shirts for the spinners, plus Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and the Co-op at Creekmoor, who provided much-needed refreshments on the day. Thanks also to the Country Florist at Broadstone for their support.
