Enhanced Route One bus service give visitors more choice on how they travel to Poole Hospital

Representatives from Poole Hospital and the Borough of Poole hop on the Route One bus
Poole’s popular Route One town centre bus service has extended its hours, meaning visitors to Poole Hospital can now catch the service - which stops directly outside the Hospital - earlier and later in the day, Monday to Saturday.
The distinctive sky blue hopper buses follow a circular route, linking the town’s car parks and bus and railway stations with many of Poole’s key locations including the Quay, Poole Park and the Hospital.
Borough of Poole’s Transportation Services has increased the hours after Route One buses saw almost 10,000 passengers last year, although only operating off-peak, and as a result of frequent passenger requests.
Nick Caplan, Hotel Services Manager at Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We welcome this enhanced service, which will benefit our patients, visitors and staff. We support any transport initiative that gives people an alternative to using the car, and the increased Route One service will give people a greater choice in how they travel to the Hospital.”
