Top Russian health officials to visit Poole Hospital
A delegation of senior health officials from Russia will visit Poole Hospital on Friday 23rd November to find out more about the first-class specialist care provided within the Dorset Cancer Centre.
The group of 21 Moscow officials, which includes Government Ministers, finance heads and medical specialists, is touring the South West as part of an EU-sponsored programme focusing on the reform of Russian health and social welfare systems.
The visit will provide an opportunity for the officials to meet with staff and learn more about the delivery of high-quality care at the Hospital, where the use of resources and quality of services were recently rated as ‘good’ by the Healthcare Commission.
Gill Christian, Associate Director of Operations for Poole Hospital’s Medical Care Group and Cancer Services Manager for the Trust, said: “We are very pleased to share our approach with these visitors and to provide them with the opportunity to look around the Cancer Centre and see first-hand the services we provide for our patients across Dorset.”
