Staff from the Pensions Department at Barclays House braved the winter elements to wash cars in order to raise money to buy presents for elderly patients at Poole Hospital.

Barclays matched the money raised £1 for £1, enabling the employees to buy gifts for approximately 150 people spending Christmas on each of the six wards at Poole Hospital dedicated to the care of older people.

The venture was also supported by Superdrug in Poole High Street, which supplied the gifts at a generously discounted rate.
