Dinosaur hands over cheque at Child Development Centre!

Ollie the Dinosaur meets visitors to the Child Development Centre and Paediatric Physiotherapist Charlotte Karmy
A walking, talking dinosaur paid a visit to Poole Hospital’s Child Development Centre on Tuesday 29 April to hand over a cheque for £150!
The money was raised by the team at Ollie’s Playland in the Poole Dolphin Centre through a variety of fundraising activities, including an Easter Egg Hunt. The generous donation will be used to support staff training in the latest techniques for supporting children with Cerebral Palsy and other neurological conditions.
Paediatric Physiotherapist Charlotte Karmy is currently raising funds to attend the Paediatric Bobath Course, which helps to promote normal movement, allowing children greater independence.
Charlotte said: “The team at Ollie’s Playland have all done a fantastic job in raising this money. I’m extremely grateful for all the hard work that they have put in. The money will be used to help fund my place on the eight-week Paediatric Bobath Course in September. The intensive course will help develop my assessment and treatment skills of children with neurological conditions. The knowledge that I gain from this course can be shared with the other children’s therapists working at Poole Hospital.”
