Breast Awareness
Being "breast aware" means knowing how your breasts feel and look normally, so that you notice any change that might be unusual for you.
Get into the habit of looking at and feeling your breasts regularly (perhaps in the bath or shower) and thinking about what they look and feel like.

- Know what is normal for you.
- Know what changes to look and feel for.
- Look and feel.
- Report any changes to your G.P. without delay.
- Attend for routine breast screening if you are aged 50 or over.
What Changes Should I look for ?
- Changes in the size, shape or feel of your breasts
- A new lump in or thickening in one breast or armpit
- Any puckering, dimpling or redness of the skin
- Changes in the position of the nipple, rash or discharge
- New pain or discomfort that is new and on one side only
