Welcome to the Dorset Cancer Centre
The Dorset Cancer Centre is based in the Trust and is the major specialist cancer treatment centre for adults in the county. The Centre provides a wide range of treatments including radiotherapy and chemotherapy for both common and rare cancers.
The treatment of children with cancer is undertaken in partnership with the Paediatric Oncology Centre in Southampton and the children’s unit in Poole Hospital.
The treatment and care of people with cancer can often be complex involving many different departments in the hospital. Although the main treatment departments for cancer care within the Cancer Centre building as shown on the site map patients will often attend other wards and departments for surgery, specific investigations or care.
