Elderly Medicine
The Department of Medicine for the Elderly cares for acutely ill patients who are generally over the age of 75. We provide specialist services for patients who have had a stroke, Parkinson’s Disease or need special investigations of falls. Kimmeridge Ward provides orthopaedic rehabilitation. Although the ward predominantly caters for older people, in certain circumstances some younger adults are transferred to Kimmeridge for specialised rehabilitation.
