Outpatient services are provided at a number of locations throughout the Trust with the main Outpatient department being located on the ground floor of the main hospital site.  Other locations include the Studland Centre for Dermatology and Rheumatology, Children's Outpatients and the Child Development Centre, the Diabetes Centre and the Pain Control clinic. In addition to these there are individual outpatient areas in the Oncology Department and in Maternity.    

The aim of the service is to provide an efficient, skilled, safe and convenient service to patients and clinicians in a professional, caring and responsive manner and to facilitate the needs of all clinical specialties.

The Outpatients Services sees around 180,000  patients  per year. The clinics run from 8.30 am until 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday.  The Outpatients Department has a team of nurses, auxiliary and clerical staff and is managed by an Outpatient Services Manager and a Modern Matron.  The nursing staff works very closely with the Consultants in providing a highly professional service to all patients.
