The X-ray department provides a diagnostic service for the local population and performs over 100,000 examinations per year. The department has ten X-ray rooms and is equipped with the latest technology, resulting in excellent image quality and the lowest possible radiation dose.

All the equipment used is digital. This makes the process of having an x-ray faster and allows the image to be reported more quickly than when using the old hard copy x-ray film. The results are then given back to the clinician more efficiently, meaning a more timely treatment for patients.

Location

The X-ray department is located on the ground floor of Poole Hospital's main buiding.
